2010 Apprentice Program(AP)

This 18 session program, taught over a period of five
months, includes a comprehensive medicinal herb program that
will acquaint you with approximately 200 plants, their
actions and how we can best make them our true green
friends.
Classes will meet on Fridays from 10:00am – 4:00pm beginning
Friday, September 17th, 2010. There will be
breaks during the holidays and will likely conclude in
mid-February.

The AP will entail a
five month commitment from all participants.
We will meet once a week for a full day class.
Participants are
asked to bring a pot-luck dish to share. Each class
includes:

fresh herbal teas, made from the
plants we are studying during that week

herbal snacks
§
informative handouts
§
herbal glossary
§
charts and additional helpful printed materials.

Note: The first class, as well as a few other sessions, will be
open for individual students who are not participating in
the entire AP. Please contact Ellen at

class session is accepting students. |
The apprentice Program ( AP) will be a comprehensive study of
herbalism including:

Materia Medica of approximately 200
herbs and study these according to their corresponding
bodily system.

Work
Study Opportunity
The first 2 students to enroll are eligible to participate in the
EZ Herbs Apprentice Work/Study program.
This entitles you to pay ½ of the tuition ($675) and
work off the balance by working in my herb shop/garden at
the rate of $10.00 an hour.
The W/S participant is expected to work 5 hours each
week to fulfill their commitment, with some breaks, of
course.

Medicine, Flower Essences, Yoga and Meditation

Health Program

How to Create a Medicinal Herb Garden-including an
Organic Gardening program: planting seeds, transplants,

NOTE:
Students are always welcome to take cuttings, plants and
trees that grow abundantly in my garden.

Resources: for supplies, seed catalogues, local
nurseries, books, organizations, etc.

Field Trips to the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center,
the Natural Gardener and other Herbal Events

Fees
The five
month Apprentice Program is $1350.00.
This Fall price is a 25% discount from the Spring
2010 AP.
You may
take advantage of Early Bird Registration prior to August
27th and have an additional discount with your registration totaling $1200.00.
